Welcome to Heckrodt Wetland Reserve

To protect the health and safety of our staff, the facilities and offices in the nature center will be closed to the public, effective Monday, March 16th.

What does this mean to you?

• Operations in the offices will continue with necessary staffing.
• You can continue to reach our staff via their office phone numbers and emails.
• The nature center at the Reserve will remain closed until further notice.
• Trails will remain open 6 AM – 9 PM. Please use them!
• All meetings and programs will be rescheduled or cancelled. Watch our Facebook page and website for updates.

This is an evolving situation. We will keep you posted as new updates to closures and cancellations become available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Nature Center Hours:

Tuesday –  Friday                          8 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday                                         11 AM – 4 PM
Sunday and Monday                    Closed

Nature Center is closed all major holidays.

Trails are open 6 AM – 9 PM daily

  • Pets are not allowed on the Reserve.  Uniformed, leashed service dogs are welcome.
  • Bikes and other wheeled recreational vehicles are not permitted.  Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.
  • Drones are not permitted on Reserve property.
