High School Youth Volunteer Camp: Heckrodt Conservation Crew

Looking for service hours for High School graduation? Want to spend time outdoors this summer?  Join the Heckrodt Conservation Crew Service Camp!

Students entering 9th grade and older are welcome to volunteer for summer Heckrodt Conservation Crew (HCC) service camp.  The HCC service camp runs from July 9th – 25th, Tuesday – Thursdays. Students can volunteer for a morning session (9:00-11:30 am) or afternoon session (12:00-2:30 pm) or all day.  Volunteers need to bring a lunch for all day service camp.  There is no minimum hour requirement for service, and volunteers have the flexibility to chose the number of days to volunteer. Youth volunteers must establish a  regular schedule (no walk-in opportunities will be  available).

Typical volunteer activities may include trail maintenance, educational support, grounds maintenance, painting, garden maintenance, craft prep, feeding the birds, and possible aquarium cleaning etc. Most volunteer hours are spent outdoors.

Interested youth should submit a completed volunteer application and must register for orientation by June 21st. Limited spots are available for service camp.  Contact  Andrea Bierbrauer (Volunteer Coordinator) at  andreab@heckrodtnaturecenter.org or  (920) 720-9349 for more information.
